The Museum, in partnership with the Jewish Studies Program at San Diego State University and the Jewish Historical Society of San Diego, hosted a "lecture with music" by noted violinist, Klezmer music scholar, composer, film maker, writer, photographer and playwright, Yale Strom. Strom is currently the artist-in-residence for the Jewish Studies.

Over 200 people attended the event.

The majority of the guest also attended the three current Museum exhibits:

• Haven to Home: 350 Years of Jewish Life in America.
• Caricatures and Immigration.
• A Community Between Two Worlds: Arab Americans in Greater Detroit
